Louvre Museum visiting hours

What are the trading hours for the Louvre museum? On Saturdays and weekdays other than Tuesdays (when the Museum closes for a breather and required maintenance) and Fridays, Louvre visiting hours declare it open from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on monday, thursday, saturday and sunday. For an extended experience, you can choose between Wednesdays and Fridays, the place stays open for longer, until 9:45 pm until 25 may 2024. From 29 May 2024, the museum will be open until 9 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays. The museum is closed on tuesdays.

Entry is allowed only up to an hour before closing time, and the rooms start being cleared by the staff thirty minutes before closing.

Additionally, the Museum is also closed on certain public holidays, which include:

  • – 25 December

    On the other hand, if you’re thinking of visiting the Tuileries Garden alongside your visit to the Louvre Museum, you’ll want to set your visit between 7:30 AM and 7:30 PM every day for the months of:

  • – November
  • – December

    For June, July, and August, the timing extends to 11 PM, while for April, May, and September, it limits itself to a middling 9 PM. Last entry: 1 hour before closing.
